Jennifer L. Volberding PhD, LAT, ATC, NREMT

Jennifer L. Volberding PhD, LAT, ATC, NREMT is a Professor of Athletic Training at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences. She currently serves as both the Department Chair and Program Director for Athletic Training. A graduate of Boston University, Georgia State University, and the University of Kansas; Dr. Volberding has been active within the field of athletic training since 2001 working clinically at Georgia Tech, Seton Hall, and the University of Kansas prior to her move to academia. She has served on the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Professional Development Committee, as well as the Cultural Competence and Transition to Practice workgroups. Additionally, she was part of the BOC’s Competency Assessment Module (CAM) for Cultural Literacy. Dr. Volberding has published numerous articles and presented on cultural competence, the professional preparation of healthcare students, and emergency management and first responder healthcare.
