AATE

University of North Carolina School of the Arts

This is a semester long clinically immersive opportunity for students interested in working with performing artists in dance, drama, film, music, production and more. Interns will have the opportunity to work with
adolescent and adult artists in a clinic environment. Interns will be fully integrated into the daily
operations of the facility including, but not limited to injury evaluations, developing and applying
treatment plans, documentation in an EMR, and communication with parents, faculty instructors,
and other medical providers.
Due to the hands-on opportunities, this internship is geared toward graduate students in their second year in a Professional Athletic Training Program (ATP). This internship and start/end dates can be tailored to the
needs of the student and the accredited athletic training program.
