Foundations-to-Instruction Series: Health Literacy
- This course is designed to provide program faculty with foundational content and educational strategies for teaching and assessing curricular content standards (either completely or partially) for professional and residency athletic training education programs.
- At the completion of this course, you will be able to: 1. Describe the impact of an individual’s health literacy on patient care and outcomes. 2. Appreciate the extent and nature of acquired health literacy and how it varies by population. 3. Identify strategies for effective patient care in consideration of the patient’s level of health literacy. 4. Integrate the principles of health literacy to create content and assessment tools appropriate for athletic training education.

Foundations-to-Instruction Series: Quality Improvement
- This course is designed to provide program faculty with foundational content and educational strategies for teaching and assessing curricular content standards (either completely or partially) for professional and residency athletic training education programs.
- At the completion of this course, you will be able to: 1. Explain the foundations of the science of improvement and continuous quality improvement in healthcare. 2. Articulate the Model of Improvement in the context of healthcare. 3. Integrate the concepts of quality improvement into practice. 4. Integrate concepts of quality improvement to assess athletic training student skills.
