University of North Carolina School of the Arts
This is a 4 week internship concurrent with UNCSA Summer Intensive programs. This is a clinically immersive opportunity offering hands-on experiences for students to work with artists in Dance, Drama, Film, Music and Visual Arts. Interns will have the opportunity to work with adolescent and adult artists in a clinic environment. Interns will be fully integrated into the daily operations of the facility including, but not limited to injury evaluations, developing and applying treatment plans, documentation in an EMR, and communication with parents, faculty instructors, and other medical providers.
Due to the hands-on opportunities, this internship is geared toward graduate students between years in a Professional Athletic Training Program (ATP). This internship can be tailored to the needs of the student and the accredited athletic training program. Subject to availability, housing may be provided on campus with kitchen access. Interns are responsible for their own transportation and meals.
Students should have specific interest in performing arts and be available June 21, 2024 – July 21, 2024.
