SUMMARY:From Education to Practice: An Athletic Training Town Hall
DESCRIPTION:What does it really take to successfully transition from athletic training education into professional practice—and where are the opportunities to make that transition stronger? \nJoin the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) in partnership with the Association for Athletic Training Education (AATE)\, Board of Certification (BOC)\, Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE)\, and NATA Executive Council for Education (ECE) for an interactive town hall bringing together students\, early-career athletic trainers\, educators\, preceptors and employers for an open conversation about the transition to practice. \nTogether\, we’ll explore what new professionals are experiencing as they enter the workforce\, what employers are seeing as they hire and onboard early-career ATs\, and where gaps may exist between educational preparation and the realities of professional practice. Most importantly\, we want to hear directly from the people experiencing these transitions and those responsible for preparing\, supporting and employing them. \nThis is not a traditional webinar. Attendees are encouraged to participate in the conversation\, ask questions\, share experiences and help identify opportunities for the profession to better support athletic trainers as they move from education into practice.

DESCRIPTION:The AATE 2027 Symposium\, taking place at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta\, Georgia\, is an exciting opportunity for educators from professional and post-professional programs to come together in person for a networking and educational event to improve educational practice in athletic training. The programming will feature invited presentations\, innovative teaching techniques\, and interactive discussions and activities aimed to inspire and inform each other as we mold the next generation of athletic trainers. We are conducting this symposium concurrently with the 2027 PAATS Meeting & ATPPS Conference to help minimize costs to you and encourage networking across all associations’ memberships. \nYou can earn up to 12 BOC CEUs for attending the Symposium. \nThe AATE 2027 Symposium will take place from February 25th to February 27th\, 2027.
